When it comes to freedom of expression and design on the internet, nothing compares to the Macromedia Flash Player. Movement, form and interactivity meet each other in one gracefull solution. Flash can be used for animated presentations like intros and advertisements or to make a basic (HTML) website come alive. But it can also form complete websites, with full interactivity and even advanced functions like database connectivity.
But… there are a few drawbacks:
- A small browser plugin must be installed on the computer to be able to view these presentations. Today, about 99% of the internet browsers have this plugin installed but that still mean some visitors are potentially exluded.
- Accessability is still not fully garanteed. Visitors that use browsers or software for less abled people, such as text browsers or screen readers, can be excluded from the presentation.
- Indexing by search engines is not standard yet. Although the biggest search engine today, Google, has added indexing of Flash file (SWF) content to its functionality, a lot of search engines are not able to. This makes your presentation less easy to find by potential visitors.
This means that Flash must be used with care. When a great deal of freedom in design is required for high impact presentations, Flash is your best option. 4Vsions creates Flash presentations for you with great pleasure.

Logo animation
Starting on January 16 2001 with a simple logo design for FreakWave Inc the project developed into our first steps into the world of flash animation. After the ‘wave’ version had been chosen, the idea of a animated logo for internet immediately arose.
