Nayah, I took a look and see no problem with your sitemap. What I did notice is that your robots.txt file is useless. If you really want to manage your robots.txt file manually, you need to put each rule on a NEW line. Like now, all behind the first comment-line, search engines will ignore everything including the sitemap...

Another thing I noticed: You have created a folder /mu-plugins/ INSIDE /plugins/ where you then placed my plugin. If you want to use the XML Sitemap Feed as an MU plugin, move the folder /mu-plugins/ (and its content) one dir up into /wp-content/ ... That way, every site in your network will have the plugin auto-activated.

One more tip: Disallow directory browsing on your server by default and only allow it for those folders that you explicitly want to be browsed. Your website security is at risk.

You have hit on a problem. I see this happening with the default Twenty Ten theme too ( so it is not just the theme you are using ) but with some other themes there is no problem...

Here is a theme specific fix to get it working for now:
1. Open Plugins > Editor and select "Highlight Search Terms"
2. Find the line ( just below "// Get query variables") where it says
$area = '.hentry';

3. Change it to
$area = '#middle';

4. Save

I Hope to get it fixed for others soon but until then, this should work :)

The fact that you see no highlighting is probably because you have not added any highlighting rules to your stylesheet. A simple rule like
.hilite { background-color:yellow }
should make the search terms pop out with a yellow marker-like background. More intricate rules to make different terms stand out with different styles, are suggested in the readme and on this page.

I am trying to use your Highlight Search Terms WordPress plugin with the Atahualpa theme.

After I activate the plugin and perform a search, the first search results page entry is repeated 5 times and no others appear. Oh, and there is no highlighting either.

The search function works correctly again once I deactivate your plugin.

Suggestions?

Hi Catharine,

Thanks for reporting :)

Please upgrade to version 0.4 and use the code
if (function_exists('wpms_mobile_link')) { wpms_mobile_link(); }
in your template file.

Let me know if you run into anything.

Hi. I installed your plugin a few days ago and so far, I really like it. I have one problem, though, and I'm hoping that you can help me out. I'm trying to add a link to the non-mobile version of the site to allow users to flip over to the mobile, but the script you listed in your FAQ doesn't seem to work (). If I put it in my header.php, the whole page comes up blank...is there another step that I'm missing? I don't have wp-cache installed, so that shouldn't be the problem. Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like an issue with the stylesheet loading... This will not be a problem for search engines (did you check your robots.txt output?) but I am interested in finding the cause of this problem that seems to keep coming back for a few people. Do you have a link for me?

That's funny... I made this plugin exactly for WP3.0 in MS mode. And it has been running just fine on several multi-site installs I manage. These installs are running on shared hosting linux boxes but I could not tell you exactly what flavours. But you are saying that
plugins_url($efb, __FILE__)
just doesn't do it on Debian unstable? Could you please elaborate? What is your PHP version?

You see, the WP function plugins_url() in itself uses
dirname(plugin_basename($plugin))
-- which basically is the same as your
basename(dirname(__FILE__))
solution. I really wonder why that internal WP function would not work on a Debian unstable box...

Hi,

I've made some changes to your fancybox.php to make it work on the multi-site Wordpress's that can be installed in Debian unstable. Now it perfectly works again ;-)

I have the same issue as reported by one more guy here, the sitemap does not show up, but if I look at the page source i can see the map, also it comes up in IE 8, and not in Google Crome and Mozilla, any ideas what is the issue and what will be the impact? will google be able to index the urls?

Yes, you can set the plugin on the Appearance > Mobile admin page to ignore touch browsers (just make that field empty) so that WP-Touch can kick in and do it's work :)

Just one note: if you are using this plugin on a multi-site setup, at this point, you'll have to make the changes on EACH site in your network manually OR (maybe easier) edit the source code so that the default settings for touch browsers is empty... If on a (normal) single site setup, just igore this last remark. If you have no clue what I am talking about here, just let me know ;)
